Sulfonated Acetone-formaldehyde Condensate (SAF)
Sulfonated Acetone Formaldehyde Condensate (SAF) is a brownish red liquid , derived from acetone, formaldehyde and sulfonating agent with alkali catalysis. SAF is a water-soluble aliphatic polymer and has wide applicability to cement. It has high range water reducer, commonly referred to as a superplasticizer.
SAF is a green environmental product, and contains no added chloride. It meets the requirements of chemical admixture specifications for concrete ASTM C494 as Type F.
SAF is widely used for projects which require high performance concrete with property of high strength, elasticity, and fluidity. It is also compounded with naphthalene superplasticizer or amino-based superplasticizer to enhance its performance.

Store it in a temperature range of 5° to 40 °C with the receptacle tightly sealed. Open and handle receptacle carefully to prevent formation of aerosols. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
DOVEMIX – 230 C is aqueous high-performance Sulphonated Acetone Formaldehyde Condensate (SAF) designed for high range water reducing admixture in concrete applications. Excellent control of the concrete fluidity, increase slump retention, reduce the slump lose and improve the strength of concrete.
It is easily formulated with various types of cement, effective for use at low doses, thereby increasing productivity and reducing costs. It is a kind of anionic aliphatic macromolecular surface active substance.
SAF water reducer are water-soluble organic substances that reduce the amount of water needed to achieve a certain concrete stability, reduce the water-cement ratio, and reduce cement consumption, increase slump and workability. Produce high quality concrete, with low permeability (more impermeable to water). It can reduce water so that the water use becomes less, the distribution of cement particles in the fresh concrete mix becomes more optimal, which in turn produces the higher density concrete that can be more watertight. Construction for highways, railways, subways and tunnels. Also for self-compacting concrete, precast and pre-stressed concrete.
SAF can be used in the gypsum panel and plasterboard process. In mixing compound phase, a small amount of SAF are used so that the slurry will flow during manufacture, and to reduce the water and hence the drying time.
Oil & Gas
SAF is used in pipe jacking method. SAF use is for water cut-off materials or durable and high resistance waterproofing membranes for shield tunneling method. SAF also can be added for mud withdrawal process to reduce viscosity and increase fluidity.
